  1. Prepare 1 tbsp dried oregano
  2. Take 2 bay leafs
  3. Take 400 g pork sausages
  4. Get 80 g Spinach

  7. Prepare 1 medium red chilli pepper
  8. Prepare 1 tbsp Soy Sauce

Steps to make Sausage Gnocchi:
  1. Pre heat an oven on 180°C and an oven safe pot with lid on a medium to high heat with a drizzle of vegetable oil.
  2. Cut the sausage in to bitesize pieces and brown in the hot pot.
  3. Once browned, add the chilli and garlic and cook for 1min.
  4. Crumble in the stock cube and add the soy sauce and tomato puree, mix in well and cook for 1min. Boil a kettle.
  5. Pour in the tinned tomatoes, oregano and add about 200ml boiled water.
  6. Add the Spinach, mix well, bring to boil and then add the bay leaf, place the lid on top and add it to the oven for 30-35mins. (add a little water if it looks dry)
  7. Near the end of cooking, heat a pan with a little bit of butter on a medium heat. Once hot, add the Gnocchi and brown it.
  8. Once browned, remove the pot from the oven, tip in the Gnocchi and mix well. If it looked watery, reduce a little over a high heat before adding the Gnocchi.

Growing up in Minnesota we have things thing called Klub which is pretty much this big potato dumpling that has bits and pieces of diced ham inside and you serve it with butter and salt and gnocchi really reminds me of that, but the crazy shortened version. Potato gnocchi-we use store bought gnocchi. You can find it in the pasta aisle. Sausage-we like to use smoked Italian-style chicken sausage. You can use your favorite sausage!
