Instructions to make Sukhdi (Gujarati Traditional Sweet):
  1. First of all take 3 tsp of ghee in Kadai and heat it. Add the wheat flour in it and roast it till it gets little Pink colour and leaves some sweet aroma. (If roasted more, it may start getting turned Brown). Keep it aside to set cool
  2. Add reamaining Ghee in the kadai and heat it. Shread the jaggery and and add in the heated ghee.. stir till the jaggers melts and dissolves well.. Make sure it is not sauted more otherwise this Base may be harder to chew.
  3. After step 2 is done, lower the flame and add the roasted wheat flour in the mixture and mix it well. Till this, make sure your gas is on low flame. Keep stirring until the mixture sticks to the kadai and till the wheat flour gets mixed well.
  4. Grease a thaali/plate with 1 tsp of Ghee and spread the mixture from kadai over this. Press gently and flat it with help of Palta or Katori.
  5. Slice into pieces.. Sukhdi is ready to eat.. šŸ˜Š
  6. This item is such that either you can eat while it is still hot.. and even if you can store in a plastic jar or tin for a month and have it whenever you feel like. šŸ˜Š

U can try this in microwave too. As holi is. golpapdi recipe is a traditional Gujarati sweet dish prepared with whole-wheat flour and jaggery. Store sukhdi in an air-tight container. Traditionally sukhdi is eaten during the winters as it provides your body with warmth. I usually have gol papdi made and stored which helps kill the craving of sweets.
